
Helfand, Jeremy
Jeremy Helfand is the Executive Vice President, Advertising and Data Platforms, for Disney Entertainment & ESPN (DE&E) Technology. In this role, Helfand oversees the development and advancement of industry-leading advertising technology, products, and platforms that power streaming, digital, and linear advertising across The Walt Disney Company. Additionally, his organization oversees a number of core data product management, engineering and governance teams that build and maintain the company’s consumer data products and data capabilities used for running Disney’s business.
Under Helfand’s leadership, Ads and Data Platforms delivers the systems, tools, and products accelerating innovation across Disney’s ad business. Composed of hundreds of product leaders, engineers and technologists, Helfand’s team has an extensive scope of responsibilities, including the long-term development of a unified advertising platform that will enable advertisers to buy once and deliver everywhere across the Disney ecosystem. His organization is also responsible for the curation, enhancement, and activation of data for Disney Entertainment and ESPN’s entire customer and
monetization lifecycles.
Helfand brings more than 25 years of leadership and experience from the advertising, video and television industries to his role. Most recently, Helfand was Executive Vice President, Advertising Platforms within Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution (DMED) Technology. Prior to the unification of Disney’s ad tech operations, Helfand led Hulu’s advertising strategy, award-winning ad product development and innovation, engineering operations, technology investments, and partnerships.
Prior to Hulu, Helfand served as Vice President and General Manager of Adobe’s Primetime business unit and its Media & Entertainment vertical, where he led the global business for the company’s video delivery, measurement and monetization solutions. During his tenure, Helfand launched Adobe’s multi-screen over-the-top platform and led the development of the technology that powers some of the industry’s largest multi-screen digital events including the Olympics, World Cup Soccer, and the Super Bowl. Helfand also previously served as the CEO of Auditude (acquired by Adobe in 2011), a video ad management and monetization tech company.
Helfand has served on the IAB Video Board of Directors, and as a Trustee of the Viewpoint School. A graduate from Loyola University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration.
