Learn from award-winning broadcasters and notable archivists who will share their insights into the “why” and “how” of archiving and preserving radio and TV station content. Moderated by Steven Portnoy, national correspondent, ABC Audio, you will learn what to save — and not save — as he and the panelists present examples of preserved content they have repurposed into new offerings.

The inaugural LABF Excellence in Broadcast Preservation Award will also be presented to acclaimed broadcasting archivist David Gleason in recognition of his dedication and commitment to preserving broadcast history over the past several decades.

This session is presented by the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation (LABF) and the National Association of Broadcasters in conjunction with NAB’s 100th Anniversary celebration.
